Data Center Specialist at Fellowship Technologies in Irving, TX

Data Center Specialist

Fellowship Technologies, a leading SaaS based provider of Church Management software has an opening for a Data Center Specialist. Responsibilities are built around the planning, deployment and maintenance of complex IT systems. You will have the opportunity to engage with product support services, infrastructure team members as well as customers as necessary.


In this role you will be asked to:


• Monitor system metrics and performance to identify and resolve any problem areas.
• Design, deploy and troubleshoot complex networking environments.
• Participate in the planning and design of new infrastructure components
• Assess system scalability and performance and make recommendations for improvement
• Perform daily server management functions (i.e. security auditing, backup/recovery, asset tracking, etc.)
• Maintain and tune large scale messaging platforms that include both Windows and Unix-based solutions
• Define and document infrastructure best practices for application stability and performance

Required Skills/Experience:


• BA/BS Degree
• 6+ years of experience in Information Technology
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and committed to excellence
• Ability to work together across teams and organizations
• Ability to work non-standard hours when necessary for system maintenance
• Working knowledge of Windows and Unix based operating systems
• Working knowledge of MS System Center Operations Manager, MS SharePoint, MS Exchange
• Experience working with SAN technology and iSCSI resources
• Eager to work within a strong Christian atmosphere
